Bulkhead Oil Catch Can 1L
1L capacity, with ribbed push fittings.
An oil catch tank is a must have for race cars / track cars and turbo applications. Normally the engine recirculates the hot oily vapour back in the inlet, coating the pipework and causing the intercooler to lose efficiency.
The oil catch can does exactly what it says it does, it still allows the engine to vent the hot oily vapour, but it catches it inside the can, and then vents the clean air to the atmosphere.
As per Motorsport NZ Schedule A, Section 5.1
(5) An external oil breather tank (Oil catch tank) shall be fitted to engines with open circuit crankcase breathing systems as follows;
(a) Engines up to 2000cc (uncorrected) shall have a tank of at least 1 litre capacity, and
(b) Engines over 2000cc (uncorrected) shall have a tank of at least 2 litre capacity, and
(c) All such tanks shall be constructed of suitable materials that maintain their shape/capacity at all times.
